NO BIOS menu

Hi, I have a vaio VGN-A317M. In this BIOS menu does not appear, even after pressing F2 several times at boot up. I can not reload the Win-XP OS. It gets hung while loading. Can anyone help me?

Exactly what happens when you turn the Vaio on?

Do you see the Vaio Logo splash screen?  What lights come on and can you hear the fans and hard drive?
