need some help with my FE31H dvd

Hi everybody,

I need some help on my vaio FE31H. My DVD-ROM(DVDR-RW) doesn't work anymore.
It is a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850S.

How could I reinstall the drivers of this hardware (without the restauration process !!) ?

(sorry for my bad english, i'm a french people).

Hi zerros and welcome to Club Vaio.

Can you go to Device Manager and see if there are any yellow ! warnings against your drive? - it will be in 'DVD CD-ROM Drives'.

If there is a warning, double-click on it and let us know if there is an Error Message and an Error Code.

sorry to say mate i had this exact same problem with my vaio FE31h and it needed to be sent off to sony and the drive was replaced with a pioneer drive, u might have to do the same.

Could be the upperfilters/lowerfilters problem...
