My new DVP-NS76H DVD player doesnt ply my Divx movies.........

bought one SONY DVP NS76 DVD player for the sole purpose of playing my Divx collection of movies on my HD TV. but as soon as i received it straight away i put my divx disc......to my horror it says the disc is dirty although i wrote on it just a day before.
can anyone help with this.........

Are the films in DivX 3.11, because they might not work.

They are all the recently downloaded movies from the web in the latest Divx format........
