the lcd lamp was "flickering" ... on low brightness.... ( in the bios screen too !!! 
!!! ) ...the most beautiful display on market but not functioning !!!
i bought about 6 notebook in the last 10 years but this one was the first sony product... ( and the only one needing a repair centre ...)

hi kee-lo , now (today) on vaio-link site i can read :
"Dear visitor, your VAIO is repaired and will be shipped back to you within the shortest period. Following parts were replaced :
INVERTER UNIT"
it's all ok!!!! only a stupid inverter unit .... that was the flickering ... thanks for the support 
By the way , a question , reading all the posts here : "sony inverter units are so sensible parts ?"
