Hello i really need help please excuse the fact i cant type puncuation as this is part of my problem
i have a sony vaio laptop running running windows seven
a few weeks ago i started having problems with it and i dont know what else to try now
it has started typing symbols instead of numbers at top of keyboard>> im not talking about the number pad to to the right of the keyboard im talking about the numbers line at top of keyboard
for example if i want to type number £ it types a pound sign
this is happening with all the keys with symbols on>>
also at the same time this happens my caps lock comes on despite the caps lock key not being pressed<<if you then tap caps key so light comes on it types in lower case
the only thing that temporarily fixes this is if i switch users on laptop then numbers work as normal and cap lock work as normal but only temporary then i have to switch users again
ive tried a complete reset on laptop and its not helped
any ideas would be grateful
