Internet connection trouble

I have a VGN-NR38E - using windows xp, everytime I log in I loose my internet connection, the only way to get back on the internet is to go to the vaio icon, open show main window, go to settings, turn WLAN off and apply, then turn on, apply, and then it works, can anyone help please?

It could be your Vaio's wireless card/switch or your router's configuration.  Does it have the same problem connecting to another router?  Can other XP computers connect to your router?

Your model was released with Vista as the operating system.  Which Atheros wireless driver do you have installed? Which version of Vaio Smart Network do you have installed? Is it an XP version or the original Vista version?

You could try searching for an updated XP WiFi driver to see if that helps.

Have you looked to see if there is a firmware update for your router?
