i cant view the volume actions on the screen!!!

how can i restore the volume actions in my screen?i cant see them anymore after some changes i made!i own the FE-21B

Hi giannis_mgr,

Do you mean the volume icon in the system tray..?

If so restarting your vaio may sort the problem, if not try going to Start > Control panel > Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices > Sounds An Audio Devices and placing a tick in Place Volume Icon in The System Tray..

If you mean the function keys + F3 keys then maybe the instructions from Rich in this thread may help..

so when i press the volume keys on the top of my vaio i had a green scheme on the screen!this is what dissapeared and this is what i want to recover!!!

Solution is simple.....

go to start-->run-->msconfig-->tab "services"-->now make shure everything has a "v" in the box--> press apply and close it and restart laptop. Next time dont mess around with services startup.

I told you to go to tab "services" this way you can see wich one is not starting up and see what the problem is. If you want you can also go to the tab "general". Unvink Load System Services and vink it again.press apply and close it and restart laptop. Next time dont mess around with services startup.

It doesnt matter what you pick to do. Both are more or less the same.

I'm assuming you installed the windows with all the stuff you got from sony and did not do a clean install. Even though you can still try it.

A simple solution might be to restore your Vaio to a point when your volume keys were working..

Or download the pre installed Utilities for your FE21B from Vaio-Link, once downloaded extract and then install the following, in order.

1 Sony Utilities
2 Sony Shared Library
3 Vaio Event Service

Once completed then re-boot your vaio.

You may have to do this more than once..:smileywink:
