Hy All,
i want to upgrade my vaio FX-602 with a greater HDD. At the moment i had a 20 GB HDD inside. So i have tested a bigger HDD (40 GB external) with a USB 2.0 PCMCIA-Card, but the HDD is not detected. If i change to s smaller one (20 GB) there is no problem. If i change my internal HDD with the 40 GB HDD, i got the same result !! (No HDD was detected !!)
So my question is, if it is possible to uprade mynotebook with a hdd greater 20 GB or is any newer Bios available for this model ?
Thanks for help.
Regards
Holger
If you have the latest BIOS, then it's not possible.
Check www.vaio-link.com to see if there's any updates.
Make sure you remove any additional RAM when flashing.
Hy Kee-Lo,
What does it mean "with the latest Bios ?"
I only see at this site one version of bios ! The Version : R0121K5.
This is my actual bios version !.
But do i have a chance to install a bigger HDD over a USB 2.0 ?
Normally not, because the HDD did not detect from Bios !
Can i recover or update a older bios-version ?
Thanks for help
