How to unistall/remove Norton 360 from Sony Vaio VGN-AR51E properly?

Hello everybody,

When taking a look at the "Standard-Vista-Program un-/install/change window" ("Systemsteuerung - Programme - Programme und Funktionen - Deinstallieren/ändern"), I found three programs from Symantec:
a) Norton Save and Restore
b) LiveUpdate 3.2
c) Norton 360
All programs (e.g. Symantec-products) are still in the state-of-delivery on my new Sony-Vaio.

Does anybody know, if I first need to activate/install the Symantec-programs before I uninstall via No 1, No 2 and/or No 3?
Which of these three possiblities is the best to remove Norton (and in which order)?

1) Uninstall the programs in the "Standard-Vista-program-un-/install/change-window"

2) Install in order to uninstall Norton 360 according this instruction http://kb.sony-europe.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=87,E=0000000000025835598,K=7633,Sxi=4,Case=o..., provided this is working for Norton 360/Vista as well. Does anybody know if it does so?

3) Using Norton removal tool

Besides:
An other point that makes me wonder: Even by using the Norton removal tool it seems that quite some files remain:
"C > Documents and Settings > Owner > Application Data What do you see? You may have to show your Hidden Folders"
"Found 2 Symantec folders, 1 in "my name" application data containing file: PendingAlertsQueue.log and the other in "all users" application data containing files: HPPAppActivity.log and HPPHomePageActivity.log"

Looking forward reading your help...
