Graphics ?

Hi all i wonder if i can get help with this. i have a vaio VGN-AR31S, with the NVIDIA GeForce Go7600GT Graphic Card. I play ( Rouge Trooper)_ half way through this game it slows up and becomes very gittery, and stops working. I have tried to get a new driver for the card, but i am told Sony require i update the GPU FIRST.I am quite new to this, and would realy appreciate any help. Thanks Noel.

Hi craneop and welcome to Club Vaio.

You cannot change the GPU (NVIDIA GeForce Go7600GT) as it is a laptop chip not a full graphics card. You are stuck with it as it is soldered into the main board and is not changeable.

What version of the nVidia Forceware Driver are you using? The latest one on the Sony Download site is nVidia Video Driver 7.15.10.9813a downloadable from here: -

It is possible to install a more up-to-date driver from www.LaptopVideo2Go.com but you will need to modify the installer information file (.INF) by following the instructions on that site.
