FZ11Z BD player will decode Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD or not?

Does anyone know if the Blu Ray player will be able to decode Dolby/DTS-HD audio and output it on the HDMI interface?

Anyone tried hooking the laptop up to a Full HD capable AV receiver?

From my understanding, that's software controlled, so if Power DVD can do it, then yes. I wouldn't bother with WinDVD BD, as it's poor compared to PDVD.

Power DVD Ultra supports Dolby TrueHD/DTS-HD but that does not mean that you will get this quality audio out to the receiver. As far as I know, it would depend if the BD/HD-DVD player has the HD DTS/Dolby decoders built-in as the audio is decoded within the player so the software isn't much good if the hardware doesn't support it.

In my opinion why settle for only half the experience of high def entertainment when you can go the whole way and enjoy the FULL experience that HD has to offer by including the audio as well!? I mean we don't go to the cinema for the big picture and have headphones on

Hmmm looks like I'm going to have to dig harder to find the detailed specs of these BD drives on our Vaios!
