Hello,
I am the proud and happy owner of a vaio FE21M.
The only thing I can't seem to do is gaming in full screen.
When I put the display resolution to the maximum (1280x800), it is of course full screen, but on any lower resolution then my screen's full resolution (both 4:3 and 16:9), the image appears boxed. Even with the full-screen option (in the games) switched to on, it doesn't strech over the whole screen.
I already checked the Nvidia Control Panel for options concerning this matter, but found none.
Thanks for you replies,
Joren
Joren,
This is normal, as it's not zooming the image to the full screen
Some Games also are just set for certain Screen sizes, some wont play at all in wide screen, just 4:3.Always get the latest game updates as well, they can add new resolutions too.Quake 4 didnt have 16:10 origionaly, the latest update added it in plus an update for Dual Core.Latest Graphics Drivers help too.

From the Nvidia Control Panel you go Display then change flat panel scaling and you choose: Use Nvidia Scaling.. that works for me in all games

Did you try KyriakosP's answer?
Thank you very much KyriakosP!!!
That was exactly the setting I was looking for!
I must have overlooked the flat panel options in the Nvidia Control Panel, but man, what kind of silly translation do they use. I think I'll install an english version of that when updating...
(For those who happen to speak dutch: they translated "flat panel scaling" as "platte schermschaal wijzigen".)
Thank you very much KyriakosP!!!
