Hello from scotland all!.

Am i being really stupid?

I have a bluetooth remote control function on my sony w660i mobile. my phone finds my vaio, and vice versa, however, when i try to connect, it says on my phone that itisn't possible.

and YES, bluetooth is turned on both - i can send and receive files no problem.

please help - is there a driver i need to install or something???

Hi swoniboy and welcome to Club Vaio.

I have the W880i but I think most Sony phones are similar.

On your phone, go to the main Menu.
Choose Entertainment -> Remote Control ->
Choose the type of Remote you want Presenter/Media Centre/Desktop
If already paired, the phone should scan for bluetooth devices within range and ask you which device you want to connect to.

Does that work or have you tried it already?

yes - I've tried all that - but still doesn't seem to work

It says " bluetooth connection failed.....ensure that bluetooth is enabled/ in range......etc etc "

Can't seem to get this to work at all!!!
