Hi all

Could anybody tell me want this update (firmware update for Sony DW-D56A optical drive) actually does and if it can completely foul up your drive if it goes wrong. is it really worth it?

and if you have a DW-D56A that's working, then by definition it IS broken.

Sorry, that's confusing. Sony never include information as to what updates do, so I'm afraid nobody can tell you. It is most frustrating. However Twizted is absolutely right, if you don't have a problem don't apply the update.

As i said before in the previous posting... if your optical drive is working fine.. forget about it.. coz it will make it worst...
