Just bought 41Z laptop with Vista preinstalled, expected its performance to be amazing. After few tests i'd rate its perfomance 7/10, not sure if its hardware issues or w vista screwing around with it but my overall impression is that something decreases laptops perfomance.
Anyone with problems updating their drivers through the Vaio update application?
Hi Dripkins, welcome to the Club
You can increase speed of your VAIO by adding more RAM. In Windows XP there wasn't a uge different between 1GB and 2GB of RAM. But Vista has a better memory managment. Quiet similar to Linux it's loading most applications to RAM. And it keeps there, if you have enough of RAM.

You have got a graphics card driver problem. Any problem with that will slow your whole computer down!
What driver are you currently using? Is it the one that came pre-installed or has windows update given you a microsoft one?
yes, I havent touched any drivers , all of them are preinstalled. which ones would your recomend to upgrade?

Vaio update is working normal now, but no updates yet
Has anyone else had a problem when using Windows DVD Maker to create a DVD
where it looks perfect in the preview but once burned onto dvd the menu is
shrunk into the top half of the screen and the bottom half of the screen is
green? I've tried a couple of discs now with different videos and its the
same on them all. Microsoft guys remain silent...
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
