Hello,
I'm running a Vaio Notebook VGN-FS215M with Windows XP home.
After un-installing some progams (T-online, Router-application) and automatic Windows update, windows did not start anymore, and I got a bluescreen with error c000021a. Windows did not start in any configuration (last know to work, safe mode) so I tried booting knoppix to save my files, but after starting to boot it froze.
Repairing windows with an extra XP home CD seemed to work, but on rebooting after installation I got a different bluescreen.
I booted with Ultimate Boot CD and copied my files to a usb stick using Volkov commander, but some of the copied files do not match the original (especially jpg).
Does anybody have another idea, how I could save my files or restore my Notebook without using the recovery tool?
thanks
