Battery Icon on taskbar isn't there

Hi all,

I have a FE-31m notebook, and I used to have that nice battery icon on the taskbar. Now it is gone and I do not know how to get it back. Rightmouse on taskbar and selected the icon must always stay there (so it won't hide) but that didn't work.
Under energysettings, clicked on the thingy which says to show the icon also always on the taskbar, still nothing.

Anyone ideas how to get it back :)?

Well, this is actually the first time that I have this problem.. I've reinstalled my vaio a couple of times and everything was fine. Until now. I'll take a look at the link, thanks.

And after restart, the icon doesn't appear.

Hello,

I read the article, and I have fixed the problem. In my network places, I clicked on hide UPnP devices, rebooted and the icon is back. Thanks for the help all :D!

But still, it is weird that the icon disappeared.

The 'Disappearing Icons' trick has been a constant bug in XP for years. Glad you've been able to fix it.
