If your vaio is less than a year old and you have a faulty hard drive, then I would suggest you open a warranty case via Vaio-Link..

Bad blocks can happen at any time. This is usually caused by a knock during operation

Once you get bad sectors on a Hard Drive,the Drive will start failing.
