ATI Driver for VGN A297XP

Hi everyone,

since there is no update from sony for the graphik card driver from ati for my radeon 9700, i decided to try the original ati mobility driver (version 5.9). AND IT WORKS I deletet the old ones from sony and then i put the new ones on my vaio - no problems.
the performance is much better now (3dmarc03: before 2700 - after: 3300).
Maybe this is interessting for some other users, who are also tired of sonys weak support for their graphik driver.

Yeah, VAIO-Link support is so norrow minded. I don't know whether they have so much to do or not. But I don't think it's impossible to make new drivers available. And I think it's true if I say....*you want new drivers? buy a new VAIO!*

It's like a thorn in one of my eyes.

Yes, hardly no software support from sony. strange thing. so i'm happy to have the drivers from ati, which work better.
