1280 x 800 and no more? What about FULL HD 1080?

I have a VAIO VGN-FZ11Z. I have only got a screen resolution which is 1280 x 800.

I also have a sticker on my laptop which says Full HD 1080. Surely that's the height in pixels? Wikipedia says it should be: 1920 x 1080.

Anyway, does anyone know how I can up my resolution? There are no drivers in the standard drivers package that I can use unfortunately.

Any and all ideas gratefully received.

Hi andoni77ad,

The maximum resolution of your screen is, as you say, 1200 X 800.

The 'Full HD' thing refers to the output possible to an external monitor using the HDMI output.

Confusing isn't it?
