YouTube playlist videos missing from Bravia

I am trying to view YouTube films (both free and rented) on my Sony Bravia Internet TV KDL37-EX403 (2010 model) but am experiencing problems with synchronising the Playlists shown on my TV with those shown on the YouTube website.  I have undertaken some specific tests as follows:

1.  Clear all Playlists and History, Favourites and Watch Later.

2.  Add free film 'Secret Genocide' from 'Films' page to new Playlist 'Test'.  This is then visible on my PC but on my TV the ‘Test’ Playlist shows but contains only a placeholder for a film with no data or thumbnail.

3.  Add free film 'Night of Living Dead' to Playlist 'Test'.  This shows in the ‘Test’ Playlist on both my PC AND on the TV (including the thumbnail).

4.  Add free film 'Never Say Mcbeth' to Playlist 'Test'.  Again this shows in the ‘Test’ Playlist on both my PC AND on the TV (including the thumbnail).

5.  Add free film 'Home' to Playlist 'Test'.  This shows on my PC but NOT on the TV (again I just get a placeholder for a film with no thumbnail).

6.  Add rental film 'Exit Through the Gift Shop' to Playlist 'Test'.  This also shows on my PC but NOT on my TV (again I just get a placeholder for a film with no thumbnail).

7.  The end position is that on my PC I can see all five films in my 'Test' Playlist, but on the Bravia I only see the data (including thumbnails) for two films, and just placeholders for the three remaining films, which is clearly incorrect.

It seems, therefore, that the different films I am trying to view must have critical differences (errors?) in how they are seen to the external query which the TV makes of the YouTube database.  And maybe there is a problem with the way that the YouTube firmware interprets the responses to it's queries so ends up showing the wrong result.

I am using IE8 on a Windows XP SP3 PC, and the latest available firmware for my Sony TV.  I know from searching elsewhere that I am not the only person with this problem!

Clues, anyone?

Hi, YouTube probably don't have the rights beyond the PC so it won't show up on the TV. There is a bit in the smart tv FAQ on the front page about it.

Thanks
