Why does my Sony Bravia KDL26S55500 keep changing chanels by itself??

I have had my TV for nearly 2 years and for the last several months i will be watching it and it automatically goes through all the chanels and i cant stop it without turning it off ? iv tried taking it off the wall mount but that dosnt help. I dont know whats wrong or how to stop it ? anybody else had this problem ?

Hi,

1- CH+ , CH- buttons on TV panel Stucks

2- CH+ , CH- buttons on remote control Stucks

During the problem occurrence press one of these buttons, it stop or not?

If does not stopped , Call sony service center for repair

I have taken the batteries out the remote control and it still does it so iv ruled that out.

It happend when i move the tv if i need to change the angle etc as well...maybe a loose wire?

Hi,

that was good thinking, sounds like a tuner fault but whatever it is its within the tv so i afraid its off to the tech guys with it for repair.

one last thing to check, have a look at the channel buttons on the set and see if they are sticky, (kids maybe) or just check and see if they work freely( a click with each press maybe) if they feel stuck give them a wipe with a warm dampened cloth (not wet!)
