sound problems with sony bravia KDL 32w65810

When any channel is showing a programme with speech and background music the speech cannot be heard above the music.

Setting the bass & treble are of no help.

This doesn't occur with my other Sony Bravia a KDL 32Bx300

Hs anyone else experienced this and can it be cured?

in order for one to provide a possible answer could you provide the correct model number of your set, i tried to look it up however it does not exist!

If you mean KDL-32W5810, there are three sound modes you can select via the Settings>Sound menu.  They are Dynamic, Standard, and Clear Voice.  I should think Clear Voice is the one you want.

thanks for the message. Yes I mistakenly added a 6 to themodel number. I will try for "clear voice" as suggested elsewhere - but if you know of any other solution please advise.

jt is right, clear voice is available on your model, it will improve it but naturally not to home cinema standards.
