Sony Bravia KDL-55W815B extrenal HDD

Hello, please can you help me with buy external HDD (or SSD disc) to buy? 

It is because of I need to record tv programs and I dont know wich hdd or ssd will be the best. I found that only 32Gb up to 2 Tb of space is an option, but no detailed informaton about hdd tranfering speed, etc. 

I will be very happy for some feedback.

According to the USB 2.0 standard, the maximum theoretical transfer rate is 480 Mbit / s.

I've checked the Sony website and I found this article : https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs/kdl-55w815b/articles/00115... , it does explain all of the requirements but it doesn't state a specific model so I think Sony doesn't recommend a certain model. I believe that this means that whichever model matches the requirements should work.
