I just installed the Sony Media Remote app on my android phone. when I try to add a registered device it scans but doesn't find the tv. I know my nx713 isn't on the compatibility list but has anyone managed to get these working together and if so how? Will sony add an update to the firmware to get these working together anytime soon?

No reason it shouldn't work - I would try updating the TV's firmware and then do a factory reset and see if that makes a difference?

i have the same tv and the media remote does not work on mine either...have you figured out a way to get it working?

firmware seems to be up to date, although my current firmware is not on the sony site, the numbers look like a newer version. whats your firmware version?

I would be keen to learn the answer to this question, I have a nx713 on mail order, this is a key feature i had read should work, but I have yet to find validation. Incidently I also read Skype should work with a firmware update too.

Are you referrring to Skype on the 713? If so, it can't be backported to this model unfortunately...

If you are refering to the media remote, then, as the original poster said, the media app is not compaitble with that TV model. I suspect it won't / can't be in the future.
