KDL-32WD751 does not seem to have HTTP/IRCC support
I've had my LG 32LB580V TV replaced under warranty with a Sony KDL32WD751, which is apparently like for like.
On my LG, I was able to control the TV set using IP commands via my Home Automation system. I understand Sony Bravia TV's have similar capabilities via TCP/IRCC, yet a port scan suggests the KDL32WD751 probably doesn't support this.
Can this be confirmed/any light shed?

Hi James,
Welcome to the community.
Please have a look here at pages 10, 11 and 23 of the KDL-32WD751 manual and let us know how you get on.
Thanks,
Pascale

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. The TV is successfully connected to the network via Ethernet cable (it sits on a structured network).
The problem Im having is that there seem to be features missing from the firmware, I assume this is due to the model being "low end", though I'm not quite sure how resource heavy a simple HTTP/IRCC service would actually be!
This is what I see when I port scan the TV... browsing to the http://IPofTV:portnumber reveals a 404 error.
