Idiots Guide Q ...

Hi there, idiots guide Q I'm afraidf.  Anyone out there advise precisely how I hook up my new kdl-32ex723 TV, DVD recorder (RDR-HXD870) and Sky+HD box?  I have he Sky+ working but can't get DVD recorder to work?  I currently have HDMI cables going directly from Sky+ box to TV (slot 3 in TV) AND from DVD recorder to TV (slot 1) as per manual.  I have cable going from RF out in Sky box to slot in TV.

What have I done wrong?!

Any help greatly appreciated for novice!

What about the RF signal for the DVD recorder? In order to work your HXD has to have an RF input and then you can have the output going back to the TV set. I'm not an expert for sat, but I don't understand which meaning have to have an RF output from the sky box to the TV...
