How to wire 5.1 surround to KDL-40HX800AEP

Hi guys,

I am very pleased with my reacently bought Sony 40HX800AEP.

Now I want to connect my old audio 5.1 system but i don't find proper schema or description how.

Can you help?

I already connect all speakers with subwoofer (which is an amplifier too) and I have 6 outputs:

- Front left

- Front right

- Rear left

- Rear right

- subwoofer

- Center speaker

I have only Left and right, CBr, CBl and Y on my Sony. How?

Hi, first of all look to see if your Amp and tv has an optical in/out connector if so you can connect both using a fibre optic cable, bear in mind not all stations will carry full surround and may find most is two channel (stereo) only.

Yes, the TV has optical port. Unfortunatelly the amp does not have! So it is not a case.

I can only use wire cables. Is there a way to connect surround to TV?
