Horizontal Line halfway down the screen Sony Bravia KD-43X8305C

Hi there,

I have this issue in which a horizontal bar will appear around halfway down the screen for 3 seconds every 3 seconds on all inputs and android applications.

From what I can tell, the colour of the bar takes on that which is at the bottom of the screen.

I have tried all the usual tips and tricks, Rebooting the tv set, unplugging all externals, update the software, run self diagnostics and reset to factory settings. All obviously to no avail.

Unfortunately (or rather irritatingly) the tv set is 3-5 months outside the 2 year manufacturers warranty .

Any info or suggestions?

Thank you very much for your reply. 

I did contact, via email, they went through the usual troubleshooting methods then referred me to a local authorised repair place who, when I got in contact with, said it would probably be cheaper just to replace the set than fork out for the callout fee when they probably won't be able to fix it any way...

Should I call to see if I get any more joy that way?
