Hello all,
I have been quite impressed with the KDL-40ex723:smileyhappy:, however now I have been able to get used to it and experiment further I have found a problem which I have been unable to solve so far.
I am unable to play playlist's on the Bravia TV.:smileyconfused:
I have an ethernet connected home network and I am able to send music/ play from my Sony laptop and also select to play on the TV as a player, from a NAS as a server.
However I am unable to play a playlist from either the NAS, Win Media player 12 controllor?' or the Sony Vaio 'controllor?'.
I have confirmed the TV has it DMR set up, and it must be fully connected to be able to play MP3 from the above devices. The TV can also see some of the playlists in some of the locations; where I have made several attempts previously. In one instance it can even see a track within the playlist, however It still doesn't play.
Please advise if I have missed the obvious/ you have had similar problems/ the playlist is not a workable element etc.
Thanks in advance, Ed
Hi edtheduk, and welcome to Questions & Answers.
Just for confirmation, Which codecs are supported by the television set? the below link is similar for your model

If you mean Playlist.txt or Playlist.m3u files , these types cannot play through DLNA
Thanks
Hi,
The list is at

I just assumed that as the TV allows you to search for a playlist, it would play it aslong as it was made up of mp3's for example? The TV is supposed to be DMR & DMP however it's not clear to me how a playlist is termed in the DNLA world.
