Bravia KD-43xf8096 iPlayer issue

For the last three weeks or so our TV has been unable to connect to BBC iPlayer, ITVHUB, All 4 or My5.  I understand the BBC made some changes that meant older TVs were no longer able to connect to iPlayer, but having checked the list of affected models I can’t see ours listed.

 

Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did you rectify it?

Have you checked that your TV has the latest software update?

Hi Sean

 

Thanks for your message. We thought we had the most up to date version of the software but having contacted Sony it seems that wasn’t the case. 

We were sent a link that allowed us to download an update to a memory stick. Having installed the software we were briefly able to access iPlayer but it has now stopped working again. 

I’ve  emailed Sony and am awaiting a response.
