There are some occasions when it would be great to be able to print your photos immediately – e.g. weddings or special events. Unfortunately you can’t send pictures directly to a printer via WiFi. Sony cameras, however, are equipped with the DPOF functionality; it allows you to select images and print them immediately on a DPOF compatible printer or in a print shop.
DPOF
DPOF stands for Digital Print Order Format. It allows you to select images on your memory card and print them straight after taking the pictures. Simply tick a checkbox to mark each image for printing.
After ejecting the card from the camera, put it into a DPOF compatible printer and print all your selected images without the need for a PC. The same applies if you go to a print shop to print your images.
Step-by-step:
1. Take some pictures with your camera
2. Open the menu and select ‘print’
3. Mark each image you want to print
4. Take out the memory card
5. Place the card into a compatible printer
6. Start the print job
7. Enjoy your pictures
