UBP-X700 glitching when playing audio CDs or SuperAudio CDs

Hi, I've had an UBP-X700 for about a week now.

It is happily playing BluRays and UHD discs,

but wierdly when I try to play ordinary CDs or SACDs, the TV screen flickers and the sound glitches. 

Obviously things I thought were 'dirty or scratched discs' - but no, it's happening on any audio disc... and 'oh my HDMI cable is loose' - but no, it doesn't happen with video discs.

Finally I simply swapped back my old BluRay player (plugged the same HDMI lead into it) and it plays the CDs and SA-CDs fine - so it definately seems to be the UBP-X700 is the culprit.

Can anyone think of a setting that might be causing this? As if video discs play fine, it can hardly be a mechanical problem with the player mechanism.

It is odd that the unit can play other discs fine but not CDs

I think its probably best to contact Support about this.

Well, making sure I had the latest 'Ultra High Speed' HDMI leads between telly, amp and player seemed to help. Still some glitching though. Wonder if it's a firmware issue.
