SMP-N200 Proxy Authentication

Hi all,

I recently bought SMP-N200 media streaming player and currently in the process of setting the thing up.

I have an issue with configuring the proxy server. The proxy server I need to connect to requires user/password authentication.

- First, I tried just with the IP address and port, assuming it will ask me for a user and password afterwards which it did not.

- Second, I tried to use the following syntax:

-- Proxy Server: user:password@IP

-- Proxy number: port

Which didn't work either.

Has anybody figured out how to use a authentication-required proxy server?

Hi Tom,

I have exactly the same problem as you.  Hopefully someone - maybe from Sony - will reply.  

I am very frustrated by the limitations with the media player - I hope this is not going to be another one!
