Have just changed phone and broadband provider in the last few days.
Great!
This morning I received a phone call.
Exciting!
Have I given anyone at all my new phone number yet? No!
Even more exciting!
Sadly it was a silent call from a number widely reported to be bogus.
(Apparently they claim to be hotpoint / washing machine / Banking / Nationwide Building Society / mortgage people but they aren't.)
Some comments about this company include they may already know your address, name, family member details too.
Just a heads up to all members never to give out their details to anyone phoning and asking for them! (I'm sure you won't but it never hurts to say.)
I'm off to have a chat with my new provider to ask how, when nobody at all has my new phone number, my first phone call is from a dodgy scam company.
