Is there any point in upgrading from a Sony xperia Z3 compact to a XZ1 compact?

I have had a sony xperia Z3 compact since 2014 and was happy with it.

I smashed the screen a few times and now it is knackered, and now the screen often acts as if it is being touched by 10 fingers at once when im not touching it at all, it also opens apps and makes calls on its own, rendering it useless until I reset by removing the sim.

I cant decide if to go with another z3 compact, or the new zx1 compact.

The zx1 is bigger and heavier [edited by moderator to remove profanity]

I cant understand how a "compact" phone realesed 3 years later can be bigger and heavier???

As much as I want to just get another z3 compact, I am wondering if anyone can suggest any reason to upgrade to the zx1?

I do not care about the camera at all, so it rests on the speed of the processor.

I may be willing to carry a phone that is bigger and heavier if it is going to save me a LOT of time.

will the new oreo system be WAY faster?

Will the z3 compacts system become worse within a few years.

Personally, if I buy a phone for half of a grand I expect it to last me ten life times (but usually have to except it lasting until I smash it, which is usually a few years)

Will surfing the web be a LOT faster?

are there any reasons NOT to just get another z3 compact?

I would love some advice from you folks...

Thank you
