How to Stop HDR-HC5 Screen from Flickering?

The screen on my HDR-HC5 Handycam flickers continously in any mode,

also when recording. When connected to a TV screen it works normal.

Has anybody experienced this or know how to fix?

If the internal screen is flickering intermittently, that sounds like there is a physical fault within the camera. If you have had the camera for less than a year, this may be something that can be fixed under the warranty and if this isn't the case, you may want to get some estimates before making a decision.
