HELP

HELLO ALL,

I've been trying to convert my VHS tapes to my MacBook and it is proving extremely difficult as I don't know a lot about cameras or computers! The model is a Sony Handycam CCD-TR640E (Video8 xR steady shot). The camcorder has a Video, Audio and an RFU DC Out and I don't know what the correct adapter is to transfer this to my computer. I tried using an RCA cable and that didn't work. If anyone has any suggestions as to what adapter/ software I should buy please let me know. Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

You would need a video grabber so you can convert the analogue signal from the camcorder into a digital file on your computer.

Cheers

Hello,

Thank you for your response! Do you know a good (and affordable) video grabber I could use and if it would be compatible with any adapter?

Many thanks
