HDR-GW66VE photo button

Got new HDR-GW66VE last week and while testing, I noticed that to take photo you need to push a button quite hard, much harder than a video button. Actually so hard that it might cause shaky picture. Also the button feels quite rubbery without any mechanical feedback so you can't tell if photo has been taken is sound feedback is off. Is that normal or has my unit a faulty button?

Any new GW66 user? Haven't got any answer to my question anywhere, not even from Sony support. And no shops around here has GW66 in so I can't check the photo button with another sample.

Hi I have just received my sony hdr 66 and have found the same issue with the photo button.

I think it is because it is a waterproof model.

I use the option on the screen to take a photo it is far more sensitive.

Have you found the optimum settings for taking videos yet I'm still experimenting,???
