Camcorder not charging

AX100 - have not used for few months so battery lost the charge - when tried to charge,  battery charges through USB (very slow) but not through the AC adaptor (though it feels a little warm) - how do I check whether the adaptor is faulty or the AC charging is not working? Thanks!

Charge a smartphone with it. (if the connection is the same)

How long does it take to charge the camcorder either on the AC or using the USB?

Give it a few hours.

If that doesn't result in some life then either the connector or the battery is dead.
