What do you mean by analogue channels?

If you are in the UK analogue broadcasting was switched off in 2012 when the digital switch over was. completed.

How do you receive channels on your TV at the moment.

See the path below, this is how I select which way my TV receives broadcasts, I have a different Sony TV to you

so the path for yours may be slightly different.

Settings (remote control) > Settings (on screen)> Channel & Inputs> Channels> Channel Set Up

select either Auto tuning or manual tuning and from there you will be asked which way you receive channels,

either through aerial, cable, satellite or analogue.

Your TV has tuners for digital, satellite and cable broadcasts, it also has an analogue tuner but as I say that is redundant in the UK.

Oh, but it does:-

TV System (Analog)
  • B/G,D/K,L

Stick an old VHS (or as it’s Sony, Betamax) recorder in the aerial chain, start it playing something, and the analogue scan will find it.

But, as others have said, there’s no national, or even local, analogue broadcasting still going on.

My favourite bedtime reading is a Sony product manual…
