USB movies H265 and AAC codec issues

Hi all I have a sony bravia kd 65xd7505 for about 4 years now.

When ever I try and play a movie on usb with a H265 and AAC codec only plays an hour then it goes black while still playing the file. I have the latest media player updated but still this same issue.

If i try Kodi or VLC its plays fine all the way through

It might be a limitation of the default player. Though why you're using that app when you have both Kodi and VLC is a little curious to me.

I never used anything other than those two and MX Player on my phone (since I prefer how that one looks in the hand).

Hope this helps!

Hi

Yes, this is frustrating. But i can warm recommend you to get hold on "Sony UBP x700" player. Its hardware accelerated and can play most of your movie with no problem and sent them to your TV over HDMI cable. I got the "Sony UBP x700" and it really works well!

The LAN function can not handle 1:1 4K movies with 70GB size, like H.265 or M2TS format. Its take to much for the LAN to stream so big files. But put the same files in same 70GB size as M2TS or 265 or 264 accelerated, it plays with ease over the USB3 port. Very big files should be put in the USB3 port, but 20GB or less you can run over the LAN and play from Sony x700. Remember to use the USB port on the Sony UBP x700 and not the port on the TV!

The reason for i recommend an external player like this one, are because i don't think you will find a TV with a god hardware accelerated internal player(the software with drivers). There are some 3'part software players you can install on the TV but they just dont work right. I tryed a lot of them.

Give it a try, i promise you that its god.
