Every day, several times, the sound suddenly disappears while watching TV.
Often it comes back after 5-10 seconds by itself but sometimes I need to hard restart the TV, or do something like changing speakers from sound system to internal TV-speakers back and forth to get the sound back.
Both devices have updated software, and are connected through HDMI using eARC.
Do I have to downgrade to another connection or setting?
What will I loose doing so?
Will this ever be fixed in future updates, or is it a built in hardware fault?
Hi robylun, there was an update that Sony released recently addressing a similar issue with the eARC for your TV, it's on the following link: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/lcd-tvs-android-xh90xx_x90xxh_x91xxh_xh92xx-series/kd-55x...
It also tells you how to update and how to know if your TV has the update already. Let me know what happens.
Hi, thank you for your answer.
My software version is:
PK6.0466.0059EUA
So I take it that I already have that update installed.
Hey, have you tried a factory reset after the update?
No, I will loose so much account info on all the apps that will take forever to re-enter. I have not seen anyone confirming that a factory reset have fixed anything.
Hi robylun, not all faults are the same, also not all solutions. It's up to you of course, but setting up the TV, say in an hour, is worth the try if you ask me.
