Linking hearingaids to tv via Bluetooth.

Hi all. New here to this, so please be gentle.

We have a Sony Bravia XR42A90KU television. We have been trying to link my partners hearing aids to the tv via Bluetooth. The previous hearing aids she had would link up, but that meant there was no sound through the speakers. She has now got new hearing aids, up to date, and we bought a device which can be plugged into the head phone jack on the tv. That should then, we hoped, have sent sound to the hearing aids and still sound through the speakers. But no, didn't work, no sound to the hearing aids. Has anybody got any suggestions as to how this can be achieved, please.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Hi @Ragnar

On my A95K I can pair my Phonak L90-RL hearing aids, no problem but as you say you cannot have Bluetooth and TV Speakers at the same time. Note I had to turn the volume up to 45 for a comfortable volume.

Obviously, make sure that the hearing aids are in pairing mode …

If you want to hear both hearing aids and TV Speakers I believe that you have to use the Digital Audio Out (Optical). For Phonak, they provide the real thing but in my opinion, expensive.

Of course if you buy from Amazon, you can always return them for a refund without any hassle.
