KD 49XE8005

KD 49XE8005 Dell E6540 Laptop with Win 10 Pro 64

I can connect the two using HDMI cable successfully.

However I am trying to set up mirroring from laptop wirelessly to the TV using Wi Fi from the BT Hub.

TV is connected to the same Wi Fi Hub as laptop both wirelessly to the BT hub.

None of the instructions in the TV online manual seem to work.

Nor does the instructions on the Laptop to connect to a TV.

Microsoft connection instructions do not seem to work either.

I go through the process of setting up and get the “trying to connect” but then get a message on the TV saying it is “not connected to internet”. I have then gone through the set up to connect the TV to the internet again.

The same thing repeats regardless of which option I try.

I should state that I am not very technically experienced.

Anyone got any idea what I could try or where I am going wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.

Try a Cast (entire Desktop) from a Chrome Browser...

MENU > Transmit...

Mirroring (Miracast) is most problematic...

I have tried a cast (entire Desktop) as I can use Miracast but it is extremely slow to appear on the TV screen. Any changes made on the laptop only change of the TV screen after a long delay and sometime cause the TV screen to freeze. The only way I can fix this is to disconnect the TV then reconnect. So the process is virtually useless.
