Google Play Store

I have a Sony Bravía KD-49XF9005 TV. I have gone into the Google Play store app on the TV and cannot do anything when I'm in there! The remote suddenly stops working and I cannot navigate around the screen to look for apps. When I come out of the app, the remote works normally! Anyone know what is wrong? Thank you in anticipation.

Hi @brsteve20   Assuming that you have tried 1. a simple Reset (hold down the power button on the TV Remote until you see Power Off ..). 2. Remove everything from all the connections (HDMI, USB, Aerial etc.) and switch off. Leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes. 3. Try a factory reset as a last resort.

Final thought, as the Google Play Store requires an internet connection, have you tried rebooting your broadband router to refresh it's DNS.

The correct way is to go to apps and press more apps, then scroll/ search for apps. Is this what you mean or have you sideloaded the regular android play store app ?

Thanks for your reply.

I click on Apps on the remote control. Then Get more apps on the screen which takes me to a Google Play screen. It is then that nothing works! Remote becomes inoperable and I can't move around the screen. Very annoying and frustrating.
