3 year old tv is dead....

My KD-55X8505 gave up after 3 years. 

Shuts down by it self one day and starts flashing red 6 times. Mainboard failure. 

Repair to expensive accoding to repair shop . I payed 10000 DKR for that tv. 

I'm totally chocked. And sad. I love Sony, but this is a test of loyalty.

We will see how it turns out.....

Sorry to hear about this. As it sounds like you have bought the device in Denmark I think it's best to discuss this with the Danish support team or the store itself. I hope you can still arrange something with them. Best of luck with it!

Hey there Arthur.

Thanks for your reply and just to let you know...I did contact Sony support center Denmark. But due to the tv's age and no ekstra insurance and the price of 6000 dkr for new simular tv. ( 800 euro ), a repair would not not make sense at a proff workshop.

So now I bought the KD65XF9005 model. Hope it will last a little longer....

My old tv will become a winter project. I plan to by a new BMFL main board and see how it goes.

I refuse to scrap the tv.........
