Nex-5 firmware from different region?

Hi all.

I have a Nex-5 camera bought in USA. I am from Denmark, so would like the danish menus on it. Is it possible to use the EU firmware on my camera?

Hi Ole, welcome to the Sony Forums

I've heard of people trying this with other variants of camera and firmware (Japanese to English, for example) and failing. I'm not sure what the consequences of flashing US to English might be I do know there are framerate differences between US and European NEX-5 cameras that might suggest a possible mis-match.

As the Updater software will warn you if you go ahead with this, firmware updates are not reversible...
