Hi all,
Was hoping to get some help if possible.
I've recently acquired an Xperia 1 (J8110) which I think has O2 software pre-installed. I'm with BT mobile. The phone is currently running on Android 11.
Does anyone know if WiFi calling is a possible feature on this phone? Google searches suggest it is. There is no setting I can find to turn it on unlike my partners Xperia 5 III which has the setting. BT have suggested if the feature is not visible then the phone is not supported for this function. They state it is 'on' from their end which I agree with as WiFi calling works with the same SIM card in other handsets.
Would the feature appear by 'unlocking' or wiping the O2 software? Do you have any other suggestions to try to enable this feature?
Thank you for your time and help.
Regards

SkyNet404, apologies I may not have been very clear. It is that the same BT sim works for WiFi calling in other phones.
I'll give BT a call again soon and see if anything else can be done.

Let us know if then if there's any updates regarding the issue, hopefully it gets sorted soon.
Just an update..
Unfortunately we weren't able to resolve the issue. Took the phone to multiple phone shops to unlock/flash and tried using the pc software myself to no avail.
Look forward to a possible solution in the future but will have to use a different phone for now! I won't hold my breath!
My earlier post should have read..
I tried an EE SIM card and it doesn't work and will also try Vodafone soon. (This didn't work either)
