vaio not working properly

hi i have a PCG-K215M and around the last week ui have noticed that the trackpad - the edges where you scroll they have stopped working properly. i can no longer scroll down webpages and documents by running my finger down the side of the pad, and also the FN key, where control the volume and the screen brightness has also stopped working.

in dont really wanna phone up pc world and get it fixed on my cover plan?
doesn anybody know how i can fix it please, or is it best to phone up pc world?

Have you tried going to C:\Utils and running utils.exe?

Hi sweetstudent and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately I don’t think that this model has the Utils.exe facility. You may need to download the Pre-installed utilities for your model from Vaio-Link and then install the following in this order:

1 Sony Utils.
2 Sony Shared Library.
3 Hotkey.

Followed by a re-boot.

You will then need to re-install the pointing device driver which you will find in the pre-installed drivers download (also from Vaio-Link)
